Jill Hennessy

This native from Edmonton, Alberta has a mix of ancestry from Irish, Italian, Swedish, French and Ukranian. Her twin sister, Jacqueline, is also an actor. Jill was fluent in several languages during her growing years. These were Italian, French, and Spanish. As she was 12 years old of age, Jill started to get interested in with acting. She started her acting career in Toronto by appearing in David Cronenberg's Dead Ringers playing an escort alongside his twin sister. In the following years, she was studying improv at Second City with Deb Kimmet. After that, she moved in New York two years later and was offered a contract to play the role of Detective Assistant Claire Kincaid in the hit show that has been running for a long time Law & Order. Also, she was a part of films including RoboCop 3 (1998), Ron Howard's The Paper (2000) and I Shot Andy Warhol 1996) throughout her three-year period. Her work was featured in a couple of uninteresting films in the next months, and then landed her a leading role in 1999's miniseries uremberg alongside Alec Baldwin. Major roles in productions such as Autumn in New York and Exit Wounds followed. In 2001, she landed the role of the main character in the crime-themed NBC series Crossing Jordan and in 2007 she was awarded a Gracie Allen award as "Outstanding Female Actress in a Drama Series" for her work in the series.
